Prof. Dr. Pran Gopal Datta is a distinguished ENT specialist, academic, and former Vice-Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka.
He completed his MBBS from Chittagong Medical College in 1976 and went on to pursue higher studies abroad. In 1981, he earned his MS in Otolaryngology from Odessa State Medical Institute, USSR (now Russia). He further advanced his academic career by completing a PhD from the Kiev Scientific and Research Institute, USSR in 1983, followed by an MSc in Audiological Medicine from the University of Manchester, UK.
