Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aslam Almehdi is a highly qualified Dental, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist in Dhaka, with extensive academic and clinical expertise in dentistry, oral surgery, and periodontology.
He completed his BDS in Dental Surgery from Dhaka Dental College & Hospital under the University of Dhaka, followed by postgraduate training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). He further pursued advanced studies abroad, earning an MS in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery & Medicine from Kyungpuk National University, South Korea, and a PhD in Periodontics/Periodontal Plastic Surgery from Tokyo Medical & Dental University, Japan. In addition, he completed research training at Ehime University School of Medicine, Japan, training in Oral & Maxillofacial Medicine at Eastman Dental Institute, University of London, UK, and a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Advanced Periodontal Plastic Surgery at James Cook University, Australia.
Dr. Almehdi is a Fellow of the International Academy of Oral Oncology (UK) and the International College of Dentistry (USA). He has also participated in academic events such as the Annual Meeting and Satellite Symposium of the British Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology and the British Society of Oral Medicine at the University of Oxford.
Currently, he is serving as an Associate Professor in the Dental Unit of Delta Medical College & Hospital, Dhaka. His clinical expertise covers a wide spectrum, including:
